Sandport Brewing Co. was born in 2014 in Thasai subdistrict, Nonthaburi — started by a group of young friends with a shared obsession: make Thai craft beer that could stand alongside the best in the world.
What began as a homebrewing project quickly became something more serious. The name "Sandport" — a nod to their neighbourhood and a sense of departure — captured the spirit perfectly: rooted in where they came from, but always looking outward.
Founder Supapong "Toon" Pruenglampoo led the brewing from day one, developing recipes that drew on international styles while staying honest to their Thai identity.
A small group of friends begins homebrewing in a garage. Bang Bang IPA is among the first batches — and immediately becomes the flagship.
Bang Bang IPA wins Bronze in the Best IPA category, putting Sandport on the international radar for the first time.
The team opens a permanent taproom in Lak Si, Bangkok — giving regulars a home and a reason to show up every evening from 6pm.
American critic Joe Stange names Sandport IPA on his prestigious Best of 2024 list. A milestone for Thai craft brewing.
